The quote by Jaclyn Smith "Angels are like diamonds. They can't be made. You have to find them. Each one is unique."

Diamonds are cherished because nothing quite compares to these beloved gemstones. These precious gems started 100 feet below the Earth’s surface and then traveled to the surface through the heat and power of volcano activity. Diamonds are made of one element, carbon, and carbon, with the chemical element of atomic number 6, which has two primary forms diamonds and graphite.

Did you know that the carbon found in the human body is the same as the crystallized carbon complex structure found in diamonds? People relate to the diamond’s unique characteristics and uncompromising durability because of the diamond’s formation process.

Diamonds are the Earth’s hardest natural substance which another diamond can only scratch. The word diamond comes from the Greek word “Adamas,” which means invincible or indestructible. This exciting fact makes them dearly loved because they are hardy and hold timeless beauty.

Diamonds are forever, and when they are fused with a loved one’s ashes, they will create a beautiful and alluring gem because they fuse together.

In the Middle Ages and past, some people believed that a diamond would give them strength and courage during battles and have healing properties.

Diamond Color

Some people think that diamonds are either clear to yellow. Diamonds are found in every color of the rainbow. Red diamonds are the rarest of all diamonds found globally, and there are only 20 to 30 natural red diamonds in the world today. Blue diamonds are located in South Africa, India, and Australia.

Today, many countries have diamonds found in many countries, with 30 percent of diamonds mined worldwide being gem quality.

55 Cancri e

In 2004 scientists discovered a planet, 55 Cancri e, suspected to be made of one-third diamonds! Its surface is approximately twice the size of the Earth, and it is made mainly of carbon.

Can you imagine all the brilliance 55 Cancri e eludes? Other companies in the U.S. describe each diamond they sell as beautiful, sparkly, and filled with light, and their unmatchable brilliance sets each companies gems apart from another.

Tiffany & Co Jewelry

Tiffany & Co was founded n 1837 by Charles Lewis Tiffany and John B . Young. Charles Lewis Tiffany was born in Tiffany was born on February 15, 1812, in Killingly, Connecticut, to Chloe and Comfort Tiffany.

In 1837, with $1,000 borrowed from his father, Tiffany, and a school friend, John B. Young opened a small stationery and gift shop in New York City. Their first three days in business brought them only $4.38 in total sales, but two years later, they were still in business, selling glassware, porcelain, cutlery, clocks, fancy goods, and jewelry.

Expanding the store in 1841, the store changed its name to Tiffany, Young, and Ellis. It had an impeccable reputation for selling only the finest good and Bohemian glass and porcelain.

They began manufacturing their jewelry brand, but soon the political unrest in Europe caused a significant fall in the price of precious stones. The three business owners invested in buying diamonds and then were able to sell them for a good profit a few years later.

As the company grew, it underwent reorganization and opened stores in Paris and London. They also renamed the business Tiffany & Co, and there was also a store on Fifth Avenue in New York.

The United States Civil War shifted Tiffany & Co.’s focus to manufacturing swords, medals, and war materials. The swords were sold to state or local militia units and federal officers for private purchase.

The 1872 Diamond Hoax

In 1872 the diamond and gemstone hoax perpetrated by Philip Arnold cost investors more than a million dollars. The hoax included banker Ralston, G. Dodge, Horace Greeley, Asbury Harpending, George McClellan, Baron von Rothchild, and Charles Tiffany of Tiffany and Co.

The investors convinced Philip Arnold and his cousin to sell their interest and formed the San Francisco and New York Mining and Commercial Company. Barlow set up a New York corporation known as the Golconda Mining Company with a capital stock of $10,000,000.

The investors sent mining engineer Henry Janin, who bought stock in the company, to evaluate the find. When Arnold and the cousin led him to the site, the investors found enough diamonds in the soil to satisfy themselves. Janin submitted a highly optimistic report, finding its way into the press.

Cheap Cast Off Diamonds Scattered About

Geological exploration and report by Samuel Emmons and a more in-depth investigation showed that Arnold and his cousin bought cheap cast-off diamonds and scattered them to “salt” the ground. Most of the gems were originally from South Africa. The diamond company investors sued Arnold and his cousin, and eventually, the case was settled.

Tiffany was mortified that he was part of the group to convince the investors.

A Brilliant Turn Around From The Acquisition of a 287.42ct Rough Fancy Yellow Diamond

By 1878 the link between Tiffany jewelry and the world’s finest diamonds was firmly solidified. The company acquired an exceptional 287.42ct rough fancy yellow diamond from the Kimberley diamond mines in South Africa. They cut it into a 128.54ct polished gem with 82 facets to maximize its fire and sparkle. The fire and sparkle set the foundation for Tiffany & Co. to be etched as the brand everyone wanted.

The diamond was set into a necklace worn by Audrey Hepburn in the publicity photographs for Breakfast at Tiffany’s in 1961.

Branding Tiffany & Co., Tiffany Diamond Engagement Rings, Tiffany Upgrade Program, Tiffany Necklace, Etc.

Branding is a concept Tiffany & Co. understands. Branding gives meaning to a specific product or product by creating an image in the consumer’s mind. Jiggles, mottos, customer service reputation, logos, quality, design, and craftsmanship all add to how a future customer shapes the image of a specific company’s product in their minds when the product or company name is thought about. The objective is to attract and retain loyal customers by delivering a product aligned with what the brand promises.

It must be such a recognizable brand that no imitator can pose any challenge to its brand.

In 1998 Tiffany & Co. registered the trademark of robin’s egg blue, “1837 Blue.” Tiffany & Co. uses this color in catalogs, shopping bags, boxes, boxes, and promotional materials. The color equals quality in the consumer’s mind.

In 1974 Ed Benguiat designed the Tiffany logotype, and its motto was “Beautiful design makes a beautiful life.” The company won prize after prize for design and craftsmanship at the world’s fairs and expositions; Tiffany gained a reputation on par with the European jewelry houses.

Tiffany & Co. Serial Numbers

As a way to identify and uphold Tiffany & Co.’s reputation and quality and to decrease counterfeit pieces from being presented as authentic Tiffany jewelry, all Tiffany & Co. jewelry should be marked with the brand name, the designers signature, purity marks, the country it was manufactured in and they will sometimes have a serial number.

Beginning in 2004, Tiffany & Co. started to laser-engraving serial numbers on the underside of its diamonds, which are visible under magnification with a jeweler’s loupe. These serial numbers ensure the diamond jewelry can be traced.

The original purchaser of the piece will receive a GIA certification. They pride themselves n their craftsmanship for diamonds and their luxury settings.

The purchaser will receive original documentation containing the serial numbers. They may have received the Tiffany blue book with vintage Tiffany jewelry and the Tiffany robin egg blue box. To make sure the box is authentic, look closely at the stamps.

A diamond must be mined, cut, and crafted into a unique piece.

Tiffany & Co. diamonds and jewelry is a highly sought-after brand, and the Tiffany retail value can be expensive.

You can buy online from companies that sell tiffany jewelry and other jewelry for a fair price; however, part of buying such an exquisite piece of jewelry with such a high final price may only be satisfying if you can touch, feel, admire, and try on the piece.

Part of spending such a great deal of money during the final sale on a ring, diamond ring, engagement ring, necklace, bracelet, or earrings is having fun in the process.

Local jewelers will have jewelry pieces in their inventory to try and get you to buy. However, the local jeweler may also have a high final price.

You may want to consider purchasing a Tiffany & Co. jewelry piece that has been previously worn and is still in excellent condition. Tiffany jewelry has a high resale value to pawn shops that are willing to buy jewelry directly and use the jewelry as collateral for a loan.

Pawnshops are diamond buyers, gold buyers, silver buyers, and jewelry buyers. They have experts knowledgable in old jewelry, Tiffany pieces, fine jewelry, Tiffany rings, Tiffany engagement rings, and precious metals like gold, and they understand the fair market price.

Have You Grown Tired of Your Tiffany Piece?

As you look through your safe or jewelry box, you notice you have a small Tiffany Blue Box with the Blue Box you were sent home as the original purchaser. You enjoyed wearing the iconic piece that you bought years ago from a jewelry store that advertised selling tiffany jewelry at the best price.

Now you want to have a new piece. So what do you do with the piece?

You could sell it to an online buyer, Craigslist, or eBay. Selling jewelry by these means has its challenges, including tire kickers, waiting for payment, and having to go through a process of trying to figure out the actual value of your piece, so you get the best price.
